Homes and hotels feature chaise lounge furniture placed in various parts of the premises both indoors and outdoors. The versatility of a single unit of chaise lounger can be transferred from the pool during sunny weather to the den when the weather turns stormy and yet the furniture will look just as good in either circumstance.
Chaise Styles, homeowners have many choices in chaise lounges including the following styles: One-arm chaise lounges obviously feature just one supporting arm either on the left or the right. This harks back to the Victorian times when the lounge was a place for a woman to appear relaxed and yet sophisticated.
Originally, the frames for the very first chaise lounge chairs used in drawing rooms was made from wood. Variations on the indoor chairs also brought about a mobile chaise lounge made from metal used by the French army. This seat was portable and could be folded and unfolded. Today, most indoor chaise lounge frames are still made from wood, some of which is ornately carved. While there also exist chaise loungers with metal frames, they are not nearly as portable or foldable as were their predecessors. For indoor use, it is assumed that the chair will not be moved around very often, so weight and ease of movement are not of chief priority.
A chaise end sofa looks exactly like any other sofa apart from the fact it has an arm at one end but is exposed at the other. Now you'll probably be able to paint a mental picture of what I'm talking about, so I can move on to why they represent such a good investment. What is immediately striking about a chaise end sofa is its image. Once you enter a room it makes a bold statement about your personal style and taste. This isn't to say that they're garish and only for the ultra trendy, it simply means that they catch your attention. So if you're looking for a focal point for your living area, then a chaise end might well be a good choice.
