There is nothing better than relaxing in the amazing summer sun on a lazy day. Having the perfect place out on your deck to relax can give you a nice way to refresh and recharge whenever your life seems to be getting way too hectic. During the summer months, relaxation can come in the form of an icy beverage while you relax in a beautiful teak chaise lounge on your deck. After all, isn't this the kind of stuff that you dream of when the idea of summer comes to mind?
There are pool lounge chairs which have mattresses or foam quilting making the lounge experience enjoyable. The orthodox wooden chair still has no parallel when it comes to elegance. The well polished wooden chair with leather cover foam mattresses is still "IN" and its class statement is evident from its excessive use at five stars hotels, upscale spas and expensive beach houses. Though these classic looking lounge chairs have one great disadvantage as well; they are not generally resistant to water, therefore they are required to be used with extreme care and caution and might require regular maintenance and polish so that the wood work is not tarnished with the passage of time.
This French inspired romantic piece of fine furniture adds a feeling of warmth to a sitting room and can be dressed up with just a few small scatter cushions. One thing that seems to surprise a lot of people is that today's chaise lounge has such a wide range from which to choose from. The first image that comes to mind for most people is something that's all white and tinged with gold edging, whilst this style is still available and would fit in comfortably with a formal living room; the modern and contemporary designs with their clean looking sleek designs are proving to be very popular. They come with a complete line of fabrics to choose from that will add a modern feel to a very classic design. The chaise lounge should actually come with a warning; whilst most people will buy one for their good looks and classy appearance they will tend to make you spend a lot more time lounging than actually doing boring housework.
Materials Used, during its early years of development, the lounge was made from natural materials like wood and rattan, which were often carved with stylized designs. With the modern times also came the modern materials like plastic and metal although wood is still the most popular material mainly because of its beauty, durability and versatility. Nowadays, the most popular wood materials for use in pieces of chaise lounger furniture are cedar and teak. These woods are known for their weatherproof properties as well as their excellent grain patterns.
