Materials Used, during its early years of development, the lounge was made from natural materials like wood and rattan, which were often carved with stylized designs. With the modern times also came the modern materials like plastic and metal although wood is still the most popular material mainly because of its beauty, durability and versatility. Nowadays, the most popular wood materials for use in pieces of chaise lounger furniture are cedar and teak. These woods are known for their weatherproof properties as well as their excellent grain patterns.
The patio chairs have found a number of applications these days. They are being excessively used as the pool lounge chairs as well as the pool chairs. These patio chairs can also be folded easily and are to carry around, therefore they are much preferred over the conventional lounge chairs which are considered comparatively redundant being not very portable. Moving them around becomes quite tedious sometimes. The chaise lounge chairs is also making its place in the market quite fast; their mattresses and bedding is considered one of the highest quality and are designed to be used indoors.
Homes and hotels feature chaise lounge furniture placed in various parts of the premises both indoors and outdoors. The versatility of a single unit of chaise lounger can be transferred from the pool during sunny weather to the den when the weather turns stormy and yet the furniture will look just as good in either circumstance.
The aluminum chaise lounge will probably not last very long. The nylon strips tend to get frayed and break after awhile and the frame tends to bend. The plastic type tends to get brittle after a few years of sitting in the sun and they crack and break. There are also resin frames that you can get that will last a bit longer but they too tend to get brittle after several years in the sun. Resin frames require a separate cushion just like the plastic variety.
